VON EXPERTEN LERNEN, ZUSEHEN UND WACHSEN

Prof. Daniel Buser is one of the most experienced implant surgeons with 35years of surgical experience. He is a pioneer of micro-rough implant surfaces, and of the GBR technique. He has been Professor and Chairman at the Department of Oral Surgery at the University of Bern in Switzerland (2000-2019). He served as President of various academic associations including the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO) in 1996/97, the Swiss Society of Oral Implantology (SSOI) in 1999-2002, and the ITI in 2009-2013. He was also member of the Board of Directors of the Osteology Foundation (2004-2018). He received several scientific awards by professional organizations such as the ITI, the AO, the AAP and the AAOMS. His main research areas are in tissue regeneration around dental implants, surface technology and Guided Bone Regeneration. He published with his team more than 400 publications, case reports and book chapters. He is also Editor the GBR Book (1994 and 2009). The 3rd edition of the GBR Book will be published in August 2021.

George Raeber hat seinen Abschluss als Master in Biomedical Engineering an der ETH Zürich in der Schweiz gemacht und seinen Doktortitel in Zellbiologie und Materialwissenschaften von der Universität Zürich erhalten. Er hat in verschiedenen Forschungseinrichtungen gearbeitet, unter anderem am Laboratorium für Regenerative Medizin und Pharmakobiologie in Lausanne.

Im Jahr 2005 kam er zu Straumann, wo er verschiedene Positionen in F&E und im Marketing bekleidete. Seit 2013 leitet er das Global Product Management bei Straumann. In dieser Position sind sein Team und er dafür verantwortlich, die Bedürfnisse der Patienten und Kunden durch innovative Technologien in entsprechende Produkte und Dienstleistungen umzusetzen.

Mikael is a French citizen, has studied Business, but works and live snow in Switzerland. He has been working for the past 20 years in various dental companies and joined Straumann at its headquarters 10 years ago. He is a Senior Global Product Manager and has had the chance to be involved in many projects and initiatives across these years, from prosthetics to implants, from commercial campaigns to product development. He has been lately involved in the development of the new BLC/TLC implant lines.

Dr. Christian R. Jarry is a dentist who since 2005 dedicates his career path into Dental Implant and Periodontal therapies. He holds a Master in Periodontology and Ph.D in Implantology and has authored and co-authored numerous articles and text book chapters. His passion for implantology led him to join the Straumann Group and holds the position of Global Clinical Affairs Associate Director where he serves in project teams for product development and in training and education.

DDS – Periodontologist engaged by the Vilnius Implantology Center and Vilnius Research Group in Lithuania. Course instructor and lecturer on a national and international level. Member of the Baltic Osseointegration Association, Fellow of the Lithuanian Association of Periodontology , the International Team of Implantology (ITI) and the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO).
