Discover the biologic principles that determine the presence or loss of the interdental papilla around implants. This webinar explores the anatomy of the interdental col, the differences between implant-tooth and implant-implant relationships, and practical surgical and restorative strategies to preserve papillary esthetics and optimize outcomes in the esthetic zone.
We will begin by exploring the anatomy and biology of the interdental col (papilla), as understanding this unique tissue is fundamental to recognizing the source of many esthetic challenges around implants.
Using this biologic foundation, we will examine:
We will then focus on the loss of the papilla between two adjacent implants—a common and often preventable complication in the esthetic zone. Through both surgical and restorative perspectives, participants will learn how thoughtful diagnosis and treatment planning can minimize the risk of a short or absent papilla, optimize esthetic outcomes, and help avoid long-term complications. Emphasis will be placed on practical strategies that support predictable, successful results.
