Jeffrey Hoos DMD
Dr. Hoos has been in a private group practice for thirty years. He has been actively involved with implant dentistry for twenty years.
Dr. Benedict Bachstein DMD
Dr. Benedict Bachstein was born and raised in Germany where he completed his dental school studies with honors at the University of Munich. He then moved to Philadelphia and received his D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 2007. Dr. Bachstein participated in dental research, co-authored several research articles and received many awards including The Award for Outstanding Clinical Performance in Fixed Prosthodontics, an award for outstanding performance by the Academy of Operative Dentistry and recognition for clinical excellence by the University of Pennsylvania Department of Endodontics.
Dr. Bachstein attended the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia where he completed his specialty training in Endodontics, served as Chief Resident’ and received recognition by the American Association of Endodontists for his work. Dr. Bachstein teaches dental residents and leads several study clubs. He is the past president of the Southern Dental Society of New Jersey. His professional affiliations include the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Academy of Osseointegration, the New Jersey Dental Association, the Southern Dental Society of New Jersey and Alpha Omega. Dr. Bachstein is fluent in English and German.
Dwayne Karateew DDS
Dr. Karateew’s dental education is a lifelong process, as he continually strives to improve himself through teaching, lecturing, writing and discussions with fellow colleagues. He currently maintains a high-end boutique style solo practice in beautiful Vancouver, Canada concentrating on implant assisted dental rehabilitation and aesthetics.
His formal dental education was initiated in New York City at Columbia University, where he completed his DDS degree, which was followed with a year-long AEGD at the Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, also in New York. Dr. Karateew then attended the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where, after an additional four years, he obtained diplomas in both Periodontics and Fixed Prosthodontics. He has served on the faculties of the University of Washington, in post-graduate Prosthodontics, and the University of British Columbia both in undergraduate Prosthodontics and postgraduate Periodontics as the Director of Implant Surgery. He is currently an invited sessional lecturer to the University of British Columbia, the University of Pennsylvania and to Columbia University, as well as having advised at PacLive! clinical sessions.
Dr. Karateew has held a position on the Executive Committee of the Canadian Academy of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics, and is currently a contributing consultant to the Canadian publication, Oral Health. Additionally he is the Implant Section Editor for the Journal of the Canadian Academy of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics. He has been duly elected as a Fellow of the International Academy of Dental and Facial Esthetics, and is a Fellow, IPS Master and Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals such as The International Journal of Dental Research, The Journal of Esthetic Dentistry, The Compendium of Continuing Dental Education and Oral Health. In addition to being the principal mentor to five study clubs throughout British Columbia, Dr. Karateew presents his original material both nationally and internationally; in past at the annual meetings of the American Dental Association, Vancouver and District Dental Society, Canadian Academy of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics, International Congress of Oral Implatologists, Iranian National Dental Congress, Iranian Academy of Periodontology, American Academy of Dental Research, Worldwide Dental Seminars Inc. and on behalf of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) at their International Maxi-Course as well as the AAID annual general meeting. Dr Karateew has also recorded a webcast for the prestigious DentalXP.com. He is an advocate for the Ankylos Implant System from Tulsa Dental Specialties.
Dr. Enrique Merino
Dr. Enrique Merino received his MD in 1980 from Santander University and his DDS in 1982 form Oviedo University in Spain.
He took the CEC in Endodontics at Boston University, Massachusetts between 1988-1991.
He received his Master of Periodontics after two full time training years (1992-1994) at the Complutense University in Madrid, Spain.
