Root canal anatomy should always determine the treatment strategy, not the other way around. Learn how to adapt preparation and obturation to varying complexity, minimize procedural errors, and safely and effectively shape challenging canals using the versatile Endostar Vision system.
Sławomir Gabryś, DDS, PhD
Successful endodontic treatment requires thorough cleaning of the root canal system and its three-dimensional obturation. Achieving these goals depends not only on the instruments and techniques used, but above all on correctly assessing root canal anatomy and adapting the treatment strategy accordingly.
There is no single universal instrumentation technique suitable for every clinical case. The anatomy of the root canal – its width, curvature, course, and complexity – should determine the instrumentation approach and the choice of instruments.
During this webinar, the principles of safe and effective root canal instrumentation will be discussed using three clinical cases involving teeth with distinctly different anatomical features. Practical procedures will be presented to facilitate canal exploration, maintain apical patency, and safely enlarge the root canals, taking into account the specific challenges of each case.
Particular attention will be given to the factors affecting the safety of nickel-titanium (NiTi) instruments, strategies for reducing the risk of procedural errors, and techniques for effectively preparing root canals of varying widths and levels of difficulty using the Endostar Vision system.
Different root canal obturation techniques will also be discussed. Their selection will not be presented as a universal protocol, but rather as another clinical decision guided by the anatomy and characteristics of the prepared root canal.
The central message of this webinar is simple: rather than adapting the root canal to the instrument and technique, the treatment strategy should be determined by the anatomy of the root canal.
