Mastering full-arch implantology: pioneering digital transformation in rehabilitations

Dr. Kris Chmielewski graduated Medical Academy in Gdansk in 1993. Since early beginning his interest was in aesthetic dentistry with initial focus on prosthetic treatment. From 1996 he runs his own private clinic dedicated to implantology and aesthetic treatment. He is an international speaker in the field of implantology and bone regeneration, esthetic treatment and dental photography. Special interest in the digital workflows in implantology with a focus on complex cases rehabilitation.

Dr. Lanis graduated from the University of Valparaiso, Chile in 2008 and completed a three-year residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Implantology at the University of Chile in Santiago. Additionally, he has an advanced diploma in Marketing and Health Administration from University of Chile School of Business and an advanced certification in Medical Education from Catholic University of Chile School of Medicine. In 2013 and 2014 he was an ITI Scholar at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. During his career he has been specially dedicated to the practice of advanced prosthodontics, oral implantology and digital dentistry. From 2022 to 2024 he served as Director of AGE in Implant Dentistry at Harvard school of Dental Medicine in Boston, USA.

Dr. Lanis is a recognized international lecturer in digital dentistry, oral implantology, esthetics and prosthodontics. He is fellow of the International Team for Implantology where he serves in the Global Education Committee and Ambassador of the European Association for Osseointegration. He is Member of the International College of Prosthodontics, the Academy of Osseointegration and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He has published several scientific articles in specialized journals and books.

Graduated DDS cum laude at the University of Genova, Italy in 1988, Visiting Assistant in 1991-1992 at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, Departments of Fixed Prosthodontics (Prof. Belser), Periodontology (Prof. Cimasoni) and Oral Surgery (Prof. Fiore-Donno, Dr. Bernard). Active Member of IAO (Italian Academy of Osseointegration) and of IAED (Italian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry). Affiliate Member of EAED (European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry).

ITI Fellow and Member of ITI Italian Section Leadership Team with the role of ITI Study Clubs Coordinator. University Lecturer for Second Level Masters Degree in Computer-Guided Implantology (University of Rome “G. Marconi”), in Periodontology and Implantology (University of Naples “Federico II°”), in Implantology (University of Genoa) and in Digital Dentistry (University of Brescia).

Regular national and international lecturer in more than 30 countries on surgical and prosthetic topics in Implantology. Author of several papers written in the same area of Dentistry.

He completed his DDS in 1995 followed by his MSc in Prosthodontics in 1999 from Saint Joseph University of Beirut, Lebanon with honors and he is now finalizing his Ph.D. in Biomaterials. He is currently a Senior Lecturer and Director of the Postgraduate program in the Department of Removable Prosthodontics. He is also the founder and present Head of the Digital Dentistry Unit at Saint Joseph University, Lebanon. He maintains state-of-art facilities with the latest dental technologies in his Private Practice in Mtayleb, Lebanon. He is the present secretary of the International Society for Functional Removable Prosthetics (SIPAF), an ITI fellow, and a Key Opinion Leader (KOL) for 3 Shape. He lectures at international courses and conferences on topics related to prosthodontics, implantology, and digital dentistry and has many publications in several peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Kimberly Schlam is a Prosthodontist and currently practices in Seattle, Washington. Originally from New York, she received her Bachelor of Science in chemistry at Hobart & William Smith Colleges. She then spent a few years working in the dental industry prior to completing her dental training at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2014. She completed her specialty training in prosthodontics and obtained a Master’s degree in Oral Biology from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in 2017. During her residency she gained extensive training in both the surgical placement and restoration of dental implants. Her research has focused on patient satisfaction and quality of life measures related to full arch tooth replacement. She continues to be passionate about understanding the physical and emotional impact of dental prostheses on her patients today. She enjoys mixing analog and digital treatment modalities and is eager to find new ways to incorporate virtual surgical planning techniques. Dr. Schlam is a Veteran and former US Army Major and is grateful for the opportunity she had to give smiles back to her very deserving military patients.
