Dr. Caspar Wohlfahrt PhD, MS, DDS, Specialist in Periodontology
Dr. Caspar Wohlfahrt received his dental degree at the University of Gothenburg in 1997 and achieved his specialist degree as well as Master of Science in dentistry at University of Minnesota in 2004. He defended his PhD thesis entitled “On the use of titanium-based materials as non-resorbable bone substitutes” in 2012. Dr. Wohlfahrt works as a clinical periodontist, conducts research and clinical teaching as an associate professor at the Department of Periodontology, University of Oslo. His research focuses on osseous reconstruction and treatment strategies for peri-implantitis. Dr Wohlfahrt have more than 20 peer reviewed publications and has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally. Dr. Wohlfahrt is the inventor and patentholder behind Straumann TiBrush as well as Labrida BioClean. He maintains a part time specialist clinic focused on periodontology and implant dentistry.
Dr. Robert Miller DMD
Dr. Robert J. Miller received his dental degree from Boston University Goldman School of Dentistry in 1984. He received his Certificate for Advanced Graduate Study in periodontics from Boston University in 1986 and maintains a private periodontal practice in Plantation, Florida for over 30 years. Dr. Miller has lectured nationally and internationally on implant dentistry and guided bone regeneration. He is an active member of the Academy of Periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, and is a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI). He has a courtesy appointment with the Community Based division program at the University of Florida Hialeah Dental Clinic and is involved in educating the residents in both periodontology and implant surgery.
Priv.-Doz. Dr. Dr. Eik Schiegnitz
Dr. Eik Schiegnitz is Head of the Division of Implantology at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Mainz, Germany. He obtained his medical degree (2009) and thesis (Dr. med., 2010) from the University of Giessen and his dental degree (2013) and thesis (Dr. med. dent., 2015) from the University of Mainz. In 2008 he received his degree as Bachelor of Health Sciences (Riedlingen, Germany). In 2020 he obtained the Master of Science Implantology und Parodontology at the University of Witten/Herdecke. Since 2019 he is Board Member of the DGI (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Implantologie) Regional association Rhineland-Palatinate and Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI Fellow). Since 2020 he is Spokesman of the Leadership-Teams of the National Osteology Group Germany. His fields of research include implant designs, implant coatings, diameter-reduced implants, bone and tissue regeneration and bone substitute materials.

Dr. Martina Stefanini DDS, PHD
Matthias Zehnder was born 1969 in St. Gall, Switzerland. He graduated from the University of Bern School of Dental Medicine in 1994, where he received his doctoral degree in dentistry (Dr. med. dent.) in 1996. Subsequently, he worked in private practice and part-time at the Department of Oral Cell Biology, University of Bern School of Dental Medicine. He then was employed at the Department of Oral Biology and Periodontology, Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, and subsequently was trained at Columbia University to become a certified endodontist. Matt completed a PhD at Turku University (Finland) in 2005, and has received a Docent title from the University of Zurich in 2007. Currently, he is the tenured head of the Division of Endodontology at the Clinic of Conservative and Preventive Dentistry, University of Zurich. Matt’s main research interests are to develop dental biomaterials, diagnose pulpal disease using molecular markers, and to improve approaches to disinfect dental hard tissues. He won several awards for his research, such as the Hans Genet Award by the ESE, the Columbia University Division of Endodontics Alumni Achievement Award, and the Louis I. Grossman International Award. He is a former associate editor of the International Endodontic Journal and former editor-in-chief of the Swiss Dental Journal.
