Is Director of Clinical Method Development for the Oral Care Research and Development Division of the Colgate-Palmolive Company in the United States. He is also a Director of the Colgate Palmolive Dental Health Unit, a unique collaboration between Colgate Palmolive and the University of Manchester, UK. The Unit specializes in Public Health Research and the development of clinical trial methods.

Roger has a Bachelor of Dentistry degree from Liverpool University, A Master of Dental Surgery and Doctor of Philosophy degree from University College Cork and a Master of Science Degree from the University of Manchester. He holds an Honorary Chair in Dental Diagnostic Science at the University and is a recognized Specialist in Dental Public Health. His research is focused on diagnostic science and in particular caries and periodontal disease. He is also a world renowned expert on fluoride and fluorosis. He is the author of over 100 peer reviewed scientific articles and book chapters and is a regularly invited speaker at international conferences.

Margherita Fontana, DDS, PhD, is the Clifford Nelson Endowed Professor of Dentistry in the Department of Cariology, Restorative Sciences and Endodontics, and Director of the Global Initiatives Program in Oral and Craniofacial Health at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry (U-M). She currently is Co-chair of the Alliance for a Cavity Free Future (ACFF) Canada-US Chapter, and Vice-President of the European Organization for Caries Research (ORCA).
