Henry Salama
In addition to joining Goldstein, Goldstein and Garber as Director of the practice’s state-of-the-art Implant Center, Dr. Salama continues to maintain his current position as Director of Implant Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.Dr. Salama currently holds a Clinical Assistant Professorship at the University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Henry Salama completed his undergraduate education at the State University of New York at Binghamton where he received a B.S. in Biology. He earned his D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Salama then pursued post-graduate specialties in Periodontics, Periodontal Prosthetics, and Fixed Prosthodontics as well as Implant Surgical Training and Implant Prosthetic Training. Dr. Salama is the author of numerous scholarly publications, including several he co-authored in the field of interdisciplinary treatment and implants. Dr. Salama is a sought after lecturer and has spoken before dental conferences and seminars in the US, Europe, Israel, and Central and South America. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, and the Academy of Osseointegration.
Dr. David Garber
Dr. David Garber has a dual appointment at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry, Augusta, Georgia as Clinical Professor in the Department of Periodontics, as well as Clinical Professor in the Department of Oral Rehabilitation.He also serves on the faculty at Louisiana State University as Visiting Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics. Dr. Garber graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with postdoctoral training in both periodontics and fixed prosthodontics (periodontal prosthetics). Prior to his coming to Atlanta, he was on the university faculty as Director of Crown and Bridge, and as Director of the Group Clinical Practice.
He lectures extensively on multidisciplinary approaches to optimizing esthetics. The programs integrate restorative dentistry and periodontic implants in developing total dental facial harmony, and he has presented throughout America, Europe, and the Orient. He has practiced in Great Britain, South Africa, and the USA.
Dr. Garber is an active member of numerous dental societies, including the American Academy of Crown and Bridge Prosthodontics, the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Prosthodontic Society, and is a Board Member of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. He has also been named “Fellow of the College” of the International College of Dentists, USA Section.
Dr. Garber writes extensively, publishing innumerable articles and has contributed to many dental texts. He has co-authored texts on esthetic dentistry, including Bleaching Teeth, Porcelain Laminate Veneers and Porcelain and Composite Inlays And Onlays, and Complete Dental Bleaching. Dr. Garber is completing his own text on integrated therapy in advanced esthetics and “the esthetic implant”. He is also co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of Esthetic Dentistry.
Maurice Salama
Dr. Salama received his D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine later receiving his dual specialty certification in Orthodontics and Periodontics, as well as implant training at the Branemark Center at Penn. Dr. Maurice A. Salama completed his undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1985 where he received his B.S. in Biology. Dr. Salama received his D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine later receiving his dual specialty certification in Orthodontics and Periodontics, as well as implant training at the Branemark Center at Penn.
During his postdoctoral studies at the University of Pennsylvania, he was awarded the George Coslet and Richard Chase Scholarships. He is currently on the Faculty of the University of Pennsylvania and the Medical College of Georgia as Clinical Assistant Professor of Periodontics. Dr. Salama has completed an ADA accredited hospital based General Practice Residency at Maimonides Medical Center in New York City.
He has had the opportunity to further broaden his clinical horizons through externships at Hadassah Hospital, Hebrew University in Jerusalem and Beth Israel Hospital in New York City and has been a contributor to the dental literature.
His very unique background includes specialized training in Orthodontics, Periodontal Surgery, and Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Salama is an active member in the American Academy of Orthodontics, the American Academy of Periodontics, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Dental Association, Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, Thomas P. Hinman Dental Society, Georgia Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
He also serves as the Dental Expert for Channel 5 Fox TV in Atlanta on a weekly basis. The dual nature of his specialty training makes him a frequent author to dental literature and a sought after lecturer nationally and internationally.
