In clinical practice, the existence of deep periodontal pockets and how to evaluate teeth with hopeless prognosis have always been a controversial issue in terms of treatment efficacy or cost-effectiveness-sustainability over treatment intervention within the holistic treatment plan presented to patients. Today, considering the gains of implant dentistry, it has become more common to include the related teeth in the category of teeth with a hopeless prognosis. In this presentation, the treatment effectiveness of teeth with hopeless prognosis as a result of right indication, correct patient selection and application of appropriate treatment protocols and its success in pocket elimination will be shared in detail.
