The influence of implant design on primary stability in extraction sockets and ridge preserved sites
In this lecture, the influence of implant design on the stability of immediate implants and implants in ridge preserved sockets will be presented. The use of the Implant Stability Quotient (ISQ) for assessing the stability of implants after placement and during healing will be discussed.
Learning objectives:
After this lecture, you will be able to:
Describe the design features of an implant that contribute to implant stability
Outline the surgical protocols required to achieve implant stability
Describe the use of ISQ for evaluating integration of implants.
