Surgical and Restorative Considerations for the Direct Approach to the Keystone Arch
Full-arch hybrid restorations have evolved into mainstream reconstructive management of the edentulous or hopeless arch. Surgical and restorative clinicians need to be familiar with full-arch hybrid techniques to provide appropriate patient management or to make an educated referral.
Keystone Dental has provided a variety of implant options within their product line to help surgical and restorative clinicians manage these more complex cases efficiently with a high degree of patient and clinician satisfaction. This presentation will review surgical and prosthetic considerations utilizing the direct conversion technique without guided surgery. The non-guided option provides the clinician with some surgical and restorative flexibility and options at the time of surgery and provisional restoration, utilizing clinical experience and judgement to steer the case. This presentation will be based on my personal clinical experience and that of my restorative colleagues clinical experience and literature references after completing hundreds of hybrid cases over the past 15 years. This presentation will focus on clinical pearls and potential risks to avoid to prevent complications.
